Transim Technology Corporation supplies an internet-based
marketing and design service called The WebSIM Design Center to
manufacturers of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor devices (our
"Manufacturing Clients"). Transim uses The WebSIM Design Center to
create internet-based design centers where a Manufacturing Client's
customers can select, try and evaluate a manufacturer's virtual product
online.
This Privacy Statement explains Transim's information
collection and use practices when you visit our Web site, and when you
use The WebSIM Design Center on either our site or from a link on a
Manufacturing Client's Web site. We encourage you to read this policy so
you understand how your information will be used. Please contact us at

Transim reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement at
any time, but will alert you to changes in the future by indicating on
the Privacy Statement the date it was last updated, and by indicating
changes in the Changes to our Privacy Statement section below.
Personal Information We Collect and How We Use It
"Personal information" includes information that can
identify you as a specific individual, such as your name, phone number,
or e-mail address. At Transim, we may collect and use personal
information as described below:
Registration Information: In general, you can visit
Transim on the Web without telling us who you are or revealing any
personal information about yourself. However, when you register to use
Transim's testing and verification services, Transim requires you to
provide certain personal information such as your name and contact
information. Transim collects this information whenever you register to
use our services, whether you access these services from Transim's site
or from one of our Manufacturing Client's Web sites.
We may use personal information collected when you register to
contact you about your activity on our site, or to contact you about our
site and services. If you would like to opt out of being contacted by
Transim, you can email us at info@transim.com, and we will remove you
from our mailing list.
Information About Your Use of Our Services: Once you
have registered to use Transim's services, Transim may collect
information about your use of our verification and testing tools, such
as which Manufacturing Client's circuits you simulated, and which
configurations or parameters you chose to simulate. This information is
maintained in the Transim database for internal purposes such as
studying use trends and improving our site.
Surveys and Contests: Occasionally, Transim may offer
our members and site visitors an opportunity to participate in a survey
or contest. Information collected by Transim when you participate in a
survey or contest may include your full name, e- mail address, and
street address. This information will be used by Transim for purposes
described in the survey. It will be used for future unrelated
communications from Transim and/or its Manufacturing Clients only if you
choose to "opt-in" for such contact.
Resumes: If you are interested in applying for a job
with Transim, you may submit your resume online. Resumes you submit for
job applications will be used only for application purposes and to send
you information about our company.
Customer Service: If you send questions to our customer
service department, we will use the information you send us to respond
to your question. We also may save your information to help us track
user concerns, and to provide you with updates on service issues.
When We Disclose the Personal Information We Collect
Except as described in this statement, we do not sell or
disclose information that identifies you personally or makes it possible
for other parties to contact you directly without your consent. We may
sell, disclose, or otherwise dispose of personal information we collect
in the following circumstances:
Our Manufacturing Clients: When you test or verify a
Manufacturing Client's device using The WebSIM Design Center, Transim
will share your personal information and information about your testing
with that Manufacturing Client. We do not control what Manufacturing
Clients do with this information, so if you are concerned, you should
ascertain a Manufacturing Client's policy for using this information
before you test its product using The WebSIM Design Center.
Legal Requirement: We may disclose personal information
if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action
is necessary to: (a) conform with the law, respond to claims or comply
with legal process served on Transim; (b) protect and defend our rights
or property, the Web site, our employees, guests or the public.
Company Sale: As the owner of the information collected
on our Web site, we may disclose or sell such information as an asset of
the company in conjunction with the sale of our company or a portion of
our assets to a third party.
Click Stream Data
At Transim, we monitor and collect "click stream" data about
the traffic on our site. Click stream data may include the domain from
which you visit us, the web browser software you are using, your
operating system, or the referring web site. We analyze this data for
trends and statistics in order to improve our site and services as well
as those of our Manufacturing Clients, and to administer our site.
Although this click stream information can be linked to your personal
information, if we share click stream information with companies other
than our Manufacturing Clients, we will do so only in a form that is not
traceable to you or to any particular user.
Cookies
There are various technologies, including one called "cookies,"
which can be used to provide you tailored information from a Web site. A
cookie is a string of data that a Web site can send to your browser,
which may be stored on your system. Some Transim pages use cookies or
other technologies so that we can better serve you when you return to
our site. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a
cookie, giving you the chance to accept or decline the cookie. However,
if you refuse to accept a Transim cookie, you will not be able to verify
or test products on our site. If you delete the cookie after testing a
product, you will need to re-register the next time you want to test a
product on our site.
Links to and from Other Web Sites
Transim's Web site contains links to other sites. In addition,
it is possible to access Transim's services via the sites of our
Manufacturing Clients. Please be aware that Transim's privacy statement
applies solely to information collected by this Web site and that
Transim is not responsible for the information practices of other
companies, which may be different than Transim's.
Security
At Transim we want our users to feel confident that their
personally identifiable information is secure, so we use commercially
reasonable efforts to store and maintain personal information to protect
it from loss, misuse, alternation or destruction by any unauthorized
party. The systems on which your information is stored are protected by
multiple, industry-standard firewalls and filters.

back to this page at any time to see if we have made changes. Changes
